Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Peaslee is a 2023 graduating senior from the JROTC detachment in Hudson, NH, and is a 2023 recipient of the Capt. Phaneuf Academic Scholarship. Thomas was most recently his JROTC detachment's Inspector General, managing the program for over eighty participating cadets at Alvirne High School, where he completed preparations for the fall unit compliance inspection including designing the inspection strategy, authoring detailed self-inspection answers, and identifying areas for improvement and best practices. He was integrally involved in academic extracurriculars as well, participating in his school's academic bowl and its drone team. Thomas' contributions in over forty annual community service hours were recognized both in his JROTC unit with several outstanding cadet of the year awards (2020, 2021), and with the Daedalian JROTC medal. In addition to his academic achievements, Thomas is immersed with flight training. In 2022 he completed his private pilot licensing program as a recipient of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Private Pilot Scholarship Program, and received his license. He has continued his flight training, accumulating over sixty flight hours prior to high school graduation. Thomas has been accepted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he will major in Aviation Maintenance Science with a concentration in flight while participating in the local ROTC program.
